April Showers

Warm rain will melt the cold snow and bring the rivers water temperatures up.  As we move into mid and late April hatches of mayflies will fill the skies, bringing trout to the surface to feed.  It's about time to escape to Glendorn for a weekend of fly fishing fun.

Cold mornings, hot fishing.

Despite the cold March we've been experiencing warm temperatures are on the horizon and the fishing is heating up. No signs of any hatches or fish rising yet,
the fish are eager anyhow to eat meat.  Meat? Yep that's the guide lingo for chucking large streamers to big trout that are on an Atkins diet.  Want to learn more?  Join us in the weeks ahead and learn the techniques to catch big trout.

Celebrate Spring!

Spring is here, we'll sort of.  At least the snow is mostly gone and spring rain is priming our rivers.  It won't be long before the prolific hatches of stoneflies, caddis and mayflies are bringing the big trout up to feed.  For now we'll have to settle for big trout coming up to crush our streamers.  It's just as exhilarating to see a 20+ inch brown submarine out from underneath a log and chomp a 6" streamer.  Come joins us for some streamer and dry fly action this April.  See you on the river.
