Early Season Drift!
The above video is footage that was shot by the Glendorn fly team early last Spring while on a guide "scouting mission" float on one of the local area rivers that we guide or guests on. Since this video, the summer fishing here at Glendorn has been nothing but great and we are now getting psyched up for the annual Great Lakes Steelhead run! Wanna float the river? Wanna chase some Steelhead this fall? Contact the fly team here at the Lodge and we'll have you on the water in no time!

Another spectular 4th of July celebration !

We had another spectacular 4th of July celebration last night! We kicked off the event by transporting most of our guests down to Bondieu Lake via horse and carriage where they were met with cocktails and fly fishing instruction followed by our famous lakeside dinner complete with music and a bonfire, and concluded with our huge display of fireworks. A good time was had by all !

Summer is a great time to fly fish the Allegheny National Forest region for Native Brook Trout. With the National Forest holding over 700 miles of fishable trout water you don't have to go far to find peace and freedom on a quite brookie stream. Short rods and large terrestrial patterns work best, if you use larger flies it keeps the small fish off the hook. If small stream fishing isn't your cup of tea, the Allegheny River will become fishable, below the Kinzua Dam as the spring rains move out and the summer season moves in. The best way to fish the Allegheny is from a drift boat. We hope to see you on the water this summer season.
